Ceramic Installation titled ” Utopia Rug” in Trapp Projects, Vancouver, Canada. This work is inspired by the motifs of Iranian rugs, also Modernist sculptures. In this work, the artist designs and creates a ceramic rug using her own drawings.

“ Aspirations of a Weaver” Is a body of paper arts using handmade paper pulps with the left over threads of Iranian tribal rugs. In fact, the Old rugs gave birth to these paper arts. In my recent works, I find analogy between human’s body and architectural sites. Each has public exteriority and complex, shifting interiors, and this duality underscores my use of dynamic forms and diverse materials.

Inspired partly by Sufi poetry, my work is deliberately fragmentary, with modular components that can be freely arranged. It alludes to the dissolution of old orders and imagining of new systems. Shadows cast by the work art part of its sculptural consideration, resonating with my interest in forms that are not fully graspable and ever-changing.

“ Fragments” or “Hero” is a sculpture in steel. In this work, I tried to use a variety of tools to make steel looks like a textile. I have used torch, plasma cutting, welding and forging to over work the steel and make it exhausted. The final sculpture is stronger than before.
